The Barnevelder Chicken Breed

Barnevelders are a stunning and sweet chicken breed originating from the Netherlands. These cool, calm and collected chooks are laid back beauties that lay bewitching dark brown eggs about 200 times a year. Barnevelder chickens are adorned with fanciful double laced black, partridge, silver or white plumage but don’t let their decorative derrieres distract you, these chooks are hardy and friendly beyond measure. The Barnevelder chicken breed is quiet, docile and hardy and they make an affectionate and adorable backyard bird.
